Every month I send a message to those I know who are serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Maybe it is because we are getting ready to move from out home of twenty-five years to San Antonio, Texas, but change has been on my mind. Life is constantly changing in one way or another. How we handle that change depends a lot on our attitudes and what we anchor ourselves to that gives us stability in the midst of change. For me, that is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The seasons change and fall brings so many beautiful colors with those changes. That is why I decided to use fall leaves on the card/message for this month. I cut the leaves from different colors of cardstock an ink blended the edges with Distress Walnut Stain Ink. To add visual interest I embossed the card front with the Darice Vine Embossing Folder. I arranged the leaves into a grouping and adhered them to the front of the embossed cardbase.
I didn't have a sentiment that would express the message I wanted to convey, so I created it in the Silhouette Cameo and had the software cut around it. It too was adhered with liquid glue and the card was done.
