I was asked to create Mother's Day cards for all the women at my church. That means that I spent two weeks creating 110 cards. I wanted to have a variety of cards. This card uses the large rose die from Simon Says Stamp.
The background was cut from red cardstock. The detail layers was cut from a heavy weight white cardstock. Pixie Spray was added to the back so that I could adhere it to the rose base and add shading to the flower petals. Shading was also added to the leaves in the same manner.
A panel of cardstock was cut down using the Penny Black Swirly Stitched Rectangle Die. It was ink blended using the Echo Park Fishnet Stencil with a light aqua ink.
The detail of the flower and leaves were cut from gold mirror cardstock. I found the fastest way to adhered this layer was to use dotliner adhesive.
The main sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock and adhered in place with liquid glue. The secondary sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed gold. The panel was adhered to a landscape A2 cardbase with dotliner adhesive.
