Suit Jacket Happy Father’s Day Michael

I am lucky to be married to the best man I know. He is funny, kind, generous, lovinging, thoughtful, supportive. My four living children are so blessed to have this amazing man for their father.

He is a religious leaders in our church and wears a suit every Sunday. So finding this great cut file from Silhouette is perfect.

I originally used a heavy weight navy cardstock, but it was so thick that it didn't fold well to tuck the inside of the suit into the front of the suit. So I pulled out some paper I had in my stash. I liked it better because it has a faint pinstrip to it. It turned out great. The right side of the suit coat is 1/16" wider than the left, allowing for sides to be adhered together with liquid glue. I went through my stash of small buttons and pulled out three blue buttons. They were too bright so I colored them with a black Copic Marker.

I combined two different cut files and modified them a bit to get the look I wanted. The white shirt and tie pulls out and is a gift card holder.

I went through my patterned paper to find a small light blue print that would be good for the tie and handkerchief.

For the sentiment I cut the word "happy" from the light blue patterned paper and then stamped the secondary greeting with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it white.

When I sent to adhered the suite coat to the front of the card, the white shirt got lost against a regular white card, so I cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 panel of the small light blue patterned paper and adhered it to the card front with dotliner adhesive. The suit coat gift card holder was then adhered in place with liquid glue.
