Mother You are Always in My Heart

I was asked to create Mother's Day cards for all the women at my church. That means that I spent two weeks creating 110 cards. I wanted to have a variety of cards. This card uses the Altenew Fine Bouquet die. It doesn't come with a background for the die, so I cut the the die from black cardstock, scanned it, and then pulled it into the Silhouette Cameo to create a background for the die. It was used to cut the background from red cardstock. The black detail die was sprayed with Pixie Spray and added to the front of the background to ink blend shadows and detail to the petals of the flowers. A dark green ink was added to the leaves, and purple to the berries, but because of the depth of the red cardstock, they look black. The detail layer was cut from gold mirror cardstock. It was adhered to the base using dotliner adhesive.

An oval of Gina K. Designs Whisper Cardstock was cut. The sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock. The sentiment and flower were laid on the oval panel to determine where to stamp the secondary sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss gold. The gold sentiment and flower were adhered in place with liquid glue.

The front of a landscape cardbase was dry embossed with the Darice Basketweave Embossing Folder and the oval panel was adhered in place using liquid glue.
