Lisianthus Happy Birthday

I had this stamp set from Simon Says Stamp sitting on my desk. I had pulled it out of my stash earlier when I was looking at all the spring flower stamps sets.

This isn't my favorite stamp. The lines are pretty thick, so I stamped the image with a light grey ink and then colored it with Copic Markers. I decided to stamp it again with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss it silver. It looks much better when the image is embossed.

When the coloring was complete it was die cut using the coordination die. The die was used to cut two more layers of white cardstock and they were adhered together with liquid glue. This give a little dimension to the image.

There was enough room to stamp a sentiment below the image in the lower right. It was stamped with VersaMark Ink in the lower right of a landscape A2 cardbase and heat embossed silver. To add additional visual interest, the card front was dry embossed with a linen look embossing folder. The focal image was then adhered in place with liquid glue.

The final embellishment was to scatter silver sequins around the flower. I decided to pull out some purple stickles to add to the centers and the card was done.
