This past year I've asked my siblings to give me their kids favorite colors. I send them all birthday cards and thought it would be special if it was tailored to them. This card is for Olivia and her favorite color is blue.
I recently purchased the Spellbinders Anemone dies and decided to use them on this card. I pulled out some scraps of blue cardstock and ink blended them with a darker shade of ink. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
The stamen on the flowers were cut from black cardstock. You add two different die cuts to make them more full. In the pictures of some of the examples they had white accents on the tip of the stamen. I decided to us white crystal drops.
A scalloped oval was cut out of white cardstock. The flowers were laid in place to determine where to place the die cut sentiment and where to stamp the secondary sentiment. The die cut sentiment was adhered with liquid glue.
The flowers were adhered in place with a foam square at the center of the flower. This allows enough loft to tuck the leaves behind the flowers.
The final embellishment was to add some pretty crystal sequins around the flowers.
