I had also purchased this Festive Blooms die for Christmas but decided not to use it this year because it would take to much time to mass produce. However, I needed one more card and decided to use it for a one off, and it actually wasn't anymore time consuming the Gentle Berries we had decided on.
I cut the base of the blooms from a dark green cardstock and then used different colored green cardstock for the different leaves. The poinsettias were cut from a Christmas Red and the flowers from a pastel pink. The berries were cut from a deep purple. The center of the flowers and poinsettias were cut from a brushed gold cardstock. Each layer was ink blended to add some depth and dimension and then adhered together with liquid glue.
The base die has etched marks to easily see where each peace on the die is suppose to go.
I decided to use the bold "happy holidays" die from Simon Says Stamp for the sentiment.
