Yellow Cosmos Floral Happy Birthday to You

This card uses the beautiful Altenew Craft-a-Flower Cosmos. Cosmos come in variety of different colors. I decided to make mine yellow, with frown centers.

The layers and leaves were cut from white cardstock and then ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks. They were adhered together with liquid glue. One of the samples of the flowers was one by Erum Tasmen that had a watercolored blue background. Since I wasn't using watercolors I decide to ink blend my background. I first cut some white cardstock with a scalloped rectangle die and then ink blended it with Tumbled Glass and Broken China, keeping the center lighter and the edges a deeper blue. Brown splatter was added using Ground Espresso Ink and a brush. The flowers and leaves were adhered in place with a combination of liquid glue behind the leaves and foam tape behind the flowers

For the sentiment a strip of white cardstock was colored brown with Copic Markers, stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed white. It was then cut into a label with a Pink & Main Sentiment Strip Die and adhered in place with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. The final embellishment was to add a few clear droplets around the flowers.
