Watercolor Paper Balloons Shaker

I recently saw Kristina Werner make a tri-fold shaker card with a clear acetate window and frames she had made with two rectangular dies. I really liked the look of it, but it was pretty complicated and she said she would make several changes on future cards with that design. I decided to keep it simple only have one fold.

Kristina used some pretty paper that looked like alcohol backgrounds. I didn't have that cardstock, but I did have this pretty watercolored look cardstock. I cut three balloons from different colors of watercolor paper and then stamped different sentiments on each balloon with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed them gold.

I did pull out the My Favorite Things Pierced Rectangle Frame Die and cut two from white cardstock. On the back of the first frame I adhered acetate with double-sided tape and then added 3M 1/2 Foam Tape cut in half to fit the width of the frame. I filled the well with different colored sequins and then layered another rectangle of acetate and then adhered the second frame. The panel was then adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase with liquid glue. Balloon strings were cut from gold mirror cardstock and adhered to the balloons with dotliner adhesive.

Since I wasn't doing a tri-fold with another opening I really didn't need the second acetated rectangle, but it worked out okay and I like the way it looks.
