We have a young woman at church who is turning 18 this week. She is a beautiful, talented girl with long curly hair and her favorite color is blue. Camie will be graduating high school and is off to college later in the summer. I thought this image by La-La Land Crafts was perfect for her. She will be making so many new memories and capturing them in photographs, as well as in her heart.
I printed the image onto Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock with a laser printer. This allows you to color an image with alcohol markers without the lines bleeding. Once the coloring was complete I fussy cut the image and added Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape behind it for a little dimension.
I wanted to add some visual interest behind the image and die cut a rectangle of white cardstock with the Memory Box Matinee Rectangle and dry embossed it with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots Embossing Folder. It was adhered to a top folding blue cardbase with dotliner adhesive.
When I foil sentiments I do a lot at one time. This allows me to have some on hand to used on future cards. I pulled out the "Time to Celebrate" sentiment strip. I think this is perfect, celebrating her birthday, graduating from high school, and going off to the college of her choice.
The image was adhered in place by removing the backing paper on the foam tape and the sentiment was adhered underneath with the same foam tape.
Final embellishments were to add glossy accents to the camera light and lens, and onto the hearts on the purse and boots.
