Thank You Inlay

This thank you card for Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels was very fast and easy. I pulled out some great plaid that had a thin line of red and used that color as the accents in the mat on the plaid rectangle and the die cut word.

The sentiment was cut from the center of the plaid rectangle that was created with a stitched rectangle die. It was also cut from a rectangle of red cardstock. A mat of red cardstock was added to the back of the plaid rectangle, making sure to add a lot of dotliner adhesive in the center so the die red cut word could be adhered in place. Make sure you keep all the small pieces of the center of letters to adhered in place as well.

The secondary sentiment was stamped on a scrap of Kraft cardstock with Distress Oxide Ink and cut into a flagged banner with a Honey Bee Sentiment Banner die. Everything was adhered to a side fold A2 Kraft cardbase and the card was done.

For the second card I used the red rectangle leftover from the previous card and inlaid the plaid die cut sentiment. For this card the secondary sentiment was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed white.

To provide some visual interest the red rectangle with the die cut word was adhered to a larger rectangle of white cardstock, which was matted with both forest green and red and then adhered to a top folding white cardbase.
