Sweet Treats Happy Birthday

I got a new stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and decide to create a birthday collage of the images. Who doesn't love sweet treats on their birthday.

I went through some patterned paper for a background behind the images, but eventually decided to create a shelf or table top for them to sit on. I cut a panel of white cardstock with a cross-stitched die and then cut the striped paper with the same die, using of the edge die cutting to size it down to a smaller size.

The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. The coordinating dies were used to cut out the images. The elements were arranged the way I liked them and then adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.

The sentiment was stamped with black ink onto the striped patterned paper. I decided to mat the die cut panel with black cardstock. Everything was adhered to a top folding cardbase with dotliner adhesive. Ranger Glossy Accents was added to the cherry. Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops were added to some of the frosting and the center of the macaroons. There was a stop on one of the cupcakes that stamped a little blotchy so I pulled out some Sprinkletz embellishments to cover it cup on that cupcake and the card was done.
