When searching on Altenew's Rose Flurries 3D Dies I saw a couple of beautiful cards by Betty Jacobson creating these flowers with very pale shades of pink. I didn't have pale pink cardstock that I could use, so I pulled out three different shades of Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink and ink blended the layers of the roses. I made sure to tape off most of the color on my blending brush for the top layer to keep it a light pink. My bottom layer is definitely darker than Betty's but I think it turned out lovely.
The flowers on Betty's cards were spread out over a larger surface, I think she must have used a 5x7 card, but I rarely make that card size. I did like how she had used smaller flowers from the Altenew Garden Picks 3D Die set to scatter around the larger flowers.
I tried using all five roses in my layout, but it just looked unbalanced, so I stuck with four and scattered three smaller flower cluster and three itty bitty flower cluster around the roses and love the way it turned out. Everything was adhered with liquid glue to a scalloped rectangle that was cut from Gina K. Designs Whisper Cardstock, which had been adhered to a side folding A2 cardbase with dotliner adhesive. Honey Bee Stamp Warm Pearls were added to the center of the small flowers
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink onto back cardstock and heat embossed white. It was cut with a Pink & Main Sentiment Strip and adhered over the center of the roses with liquid glue.
I love the color combination in this card.
