I was in need of some masculine birthday cards. Some of the easiest to do are balloons and candles. When I need cards I tend to make them in batches, so I had three cards with balloons. For this card I went looking through my patterned paper pads and pulled out this decide with balloons. I cut it down using the Memory Box Matinee Rectangle Die and adhered it to a top folding cardbase with low loft foam tape.
I cut three balloons using the Birch Press Party Balloons dies. I really like these balloons because it has stitched detail. I sent searching through my birthday sentiments to find some that would fit on the balloons and stamped them with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed them white. I grouped the balloons and added a little liquid glue where they overlapped, then low loft foam tape was added to the back.
I pulled out another balloon die set to cut the balloon strings from black cardstock, since the patterned paper balloons had black strings. They were adhered to the back of the three balloons with liquid glue. The balloon trio was then adhered to the card front by removing the backing paper on the foam tape and adding liquid glue to the strings.
