My crafty friend Denise recently purchased the beautiful Rose Bouquet flower stamp from Memory Box. This is a huge image, 5 1/4" x 6 1/2" and she wasn't sure what to do with it, so she gave it to me and asked me to give her some ideas.
I first stamped the image onto a 1/2 sheet of Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it using Copic Markers. The stamp set also has some individual flowers and leaves and I stamped those as well onto a quarter sheet of cardstock.
Once the coloring was complete I used the coordinating dies to cut out each of the images. I decided to cut the image in half and make two separate card with it. The larger portion of the stamp image I decided to use on a portrait oriented card. I decided to adhere it to a stitched rectangle that was cut to 3 3/4" x 5" and added a couple of additional red roses and a few additional leaves to fill out the bouquet. When I had everything arranged the way I liked it I used Glad Press 'n Seal to pick up the elements so that I could turn the arrangement over and add Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape to the back. I laid the image onto the stitched rectangle to determined what size of sentiment I would need and settled on one from Penny Black's Special Sentiments. I stamped it with Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink for a dark, crisp sentiment. When the sentiment was dry I ran the stitched rectangle through the Big Shot using the Stampin' Up Subtle Embossing Folder to add some texture and visual interest behind the bouquet. I matted the focal image panel with black cardstock and added Darice Stick Back Foam to the back and then adhered it to a top folding cardbase with liquid glue.
The final embellishments were to add Ranger Gold Stickles to the center of the purple flower and Ranger Glossy Accents to the berries.
This morning I added a few gold sequins. You'll have to let me know which way you like it best.
