Red Anemones Birthday Wishes

I think Honey Bee Stamps has the most beautiful layering flowers in the industry. They are easy to assemble and they make stunning images for a card. This card uses the Lovely Layers Anemones.

I cut the petals from red cardstock and the leaves from green. The flower centers were cut from black and a dark gray cardstock. Using a small blending brush the edges were in blended with a darker color to add depth and dimension to the layers.

I used my fingers to shape the petals so they were a little rounded and then adhered each layers together with a combination of liquid glue and low loft foam tape.

I had a leftover frame from cutting the rectangle for my previous card and decided to to use it on this card. I cut it down using a stitched frame die and added low loft foam tape to the back of the frame and then adhered it to a landscape cardbase.

The word birthday was cut three times from black cardstock. The wishes word was stamped with VersaMark Ink on black cardstock and heat embossed white. It was cut down using a label die and low loft foam tape was added to the back.

The elements were laid on the frame to determine placement. The leaves and flower bud were adhered in place with liquid glue. The largest anemone was adhered in place with low loft foam tape so that it was on the same level as the frame. The sentiment elements were then adhered in place with liquid glue and by removing the backing paper on the foam.

I think this is a beautiful and elegant card.
