This card uses a gold hot foil background made with a regular background die. Once the foiling was complete it was cut down with an A2 rectangle die and saved in a Ziploc bag to be used on a future project. I pulled out this pretty circle background using the Reverse Confetti Stitched Circle Cover Plate.
I pulled out this background and ink blended it with a rainbow of colors on an angle. When I was foiling the backgrounds in my stash I also used the large Pink Fresh Studio Hot Foil Plate to make some solid hot foil rectangle. Once of those in my stash was used to cut out the large My Favorite Things sentiment. It was cut five more times from 120# white cardstock and the layers adhered together with liquid glue.
I decided to pair it with some cupcakes that were cut from different colors of mirror cardstock. I have both the My Favorite Things Cupcakes & Sprinkles and Mini Cupcake Maker dies. The bases of the cupcakes were cut from gold mirror and the frosting from different colors of mirror cardstock. The liner and frosting were adhered together with a thin line of liquid glue on the top of the liner. Two layers of low loft foam tape was added to the back and the cupcakes were adhered in place by removing the backing paper, adding a little liquid glue for wiggle time, and placed the way I liked them above the sentiment.
Because there was so much dimension on the sentiment and cupcakes, the rainbow background was adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase with dotliner adhesive.
It is really hard to take good pictures of mirror cardstock and see the colors. I've taken two pictures from different angles to help see the colors better.
