Pink Peony With Sympathy

This is the cool tone Sympathy card for the youth auction at our church. I love this die from Stampin' Up. It is the easiest to assemble of all my flower dies.
I cut the layers of the flower from pink cardstock and ink blended the edges with Guava ink and then assemble the flower layers together, glueing the base of each layer to allow for some fluff with each petal.
The leaves were ink blended with two different greens, with the lightest layer on top.
I decided to add a small purple floral spray to the design. I like the additional color to the arrangement.
An oval of white cardstock was cut. I decided to add a gold metallic mat to tie in with the gold metallic sentiment. I don't like to waste mirror cardstock so I actually used two dies to create a wide frame and glued the white oval on top with liquid glue.
The flowers, leaves, and sentiment were laid on the oval to determine where to stamp the secondary greeting with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss it gold. The die cut sentiment was then adhered in place with liquid glue.
The leaves, floral spray, and back flower were adhered to the oval with liquid glue. The front peony was adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.
Foam tape was added to the back of the oval and it was adhered to a top folding cardbase.
