Yellow Peonies So Sorry

A good friend of our daughter called to say that her niece had tried to commit suicide and was in critical condition. I immediately created this card to send to her to let her know they were both in our prayers. Luckily, she is recovering well and hopefully with counseling she can overcome her depression.

I had misplaced my Stampin' Up Peony Garden dies and found them stuck to the back of some oval dies in my collection. Since they were sitting on my desk I decided to use them to make this card. The thing I love about these dies is how easy they are to assemble.

The edges of each petal was ink blended with a peachy orange ink. They layers were adhered together with liquid glue. The leaves have two layers. The bottom layer was ink blended with a dark green ink and the top layer with a lighter green ink.

A panel of white cardstock was cut down using a scalloped rectangle die and then dry embossed with Simon Says Stamp's Star Lattice folder. The panel was adhered to a top folding cardbase with liquid glue. The flowers and leaves were arranged on the embossed panel and adhered in placee with liquid glue.

The sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock and three more times from a heavy weight white cardstock. They were adhered together with lqiuid glue. The small sub sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink onto a scrap of green cardstock, heat embossed gold, and cut down with a sentiment label die. Three small strips of green cardstock were added to the back for dimension. Both were adhered in place with liquid glue.

The final embellishment was to add a few crystal drops around the flowers.
