Paper Weaving Happy Birthday

I had some leftover navy and gold glitter strips and decided to put them to good use by doing some paper weaving. I needed to have a third color and pulled out some mint green cardstock from scraps and began to weave the strips over and under. The strips were adhered with liquid glue on the edges to a panel of white cardstock. I found it a challenge to keep the strips even. I like the look, but I probably won't do this often, it takes quite of bit of effort and I'm not sure I love the outcome. Once the strips were in place I cut down the panel with a stitched rectangle. The paper woven panel was adhered to a navy rectangle 1/8" larger than the stripped panel. It was then adhered to a top folding white cardbase.

I used the oval die cut from My Favorite Things Well-Worn Greeting to cut a navy oval and one from sticky back black foam. One of the dies from Lawn Fawn's Happy Happy Happy was cut from gold glitter cardstock and adhered to the oval. the secondary greeting was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed gold. The sentiment oval was adhered to the card front with liquid glue.
