This is a big beautiful layering flower die from Papertrey Ink. It really makes a statement on a card.
I cut the flower layers from orange cardstock and then ink blended the edges to had depth and dimension. The layers were adhered together with a combination of liquid glue and low loft foam squares. The leaves were cut from green cardstock and ink blended to add dimension and the flower center from black cardstock.
This was one of those cards that had a lot of challenges. I had the flower completely done and accidentally dropped the dark green ink pad on a corner, so I had to carefully pull it apart using Un-Do and add a new layer. Then I added black Nuvo Drops to the stamen on the flower center and the card fell over and smeared the black on some of the flower petals. Luckily I could remove it using a sand eraser. I added a striped background die to a dark grey cardstock and adhered the flower in place and hated the way it looked, so once again I used Un-Do to remove it from the background. I finally decided to use a ivory on ivory background and finally liked the way it looked. A few glitter enamel drops were strategically placed to cover up a few black smudges and the card was done.
