Nested Chevron Blended Background Inlay Thinking of You

Since I still in need of more Thinking of You cards for my local Meals on Wheels and I wanted them to be more masculine in design I decided to ink blend some backgrounds. For this card I used pinks, blues, and purple and love the way they blended.

I went through my dies and pulled out the Pink Fresh Studio Nested Chevron Die and cut out the ink blended background. I thought the die would keep a border around the chevron strips, but it doesn't. I cut the die again from white cardstock and then took a piece of typewriter paper and covered it completely with dotliner adhesive. I then began laying the chevron onto the typewriter paper, starting with largest solid chevron strip. Once it was in place the white smaller chevron was adhered to either side and the next ink blended chevron was put into place. I continue this pattern until the entire card front was covered.

I used the largest Lawn Fawn Stackable Stitched Rectangle to add stitched detailing and ensure the panel size was ready to be placed on a top folding cardbase.

I then used the leftover pieces to create another card base with the smaller ink blended chevrons and the wider white.

The sentiment was stamped onto some white cardstock using both blue and purple Oxide inks for an ombre affect. They were then cut out with either an oval or rectangle die and adhered to the front of the panel with foam tape.

To great cards from one ink blended background.
