Musical Notes Background: Hope Your Birthday Rocks

I love music. It has been part of my life since I was a little girl. I was a teenager in the mid to late 60s so Rock 'n Roll was a part of my life. I really like Honey Bee Stamps Music Speaks stamp and dies. It has some great musical instruments.

I stamped the guitars with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. They were cut out using the coordinating dies. Gold highlights were added with a gold metallic gel pen.

When I have a smaller die cut image I like to mount it on a smaller background. For this card I cut white cardstock using the Spellbinders Wonky Rectangle Die and dry embossed it with a small musical notes embossing foldelr I found on Amazon from Hying Co. Foam tape was added to the back for loft and dimension on the card.

To help the focal images pop a rectangle of black cardstock was cut down using a stitched rectangle die and adhered to a top folding cardbase with dotliner adhesive. The embossed wonky rectangle was adhered in the center by removing the backing paper on the foam tape.

The guitars were adhered with two different foam tapes, a low loft for the back and a regular loft for the front.

The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink on a scrap of black cardstock and heat embossed white. It was cut down with a sentiment label die and adhered below the guitars with a thin strip of foam tape.
