Morti Furever in Our Hearts

Our son and daughter-in-law have three french bulldogs. The oldest is named Dean and they recently found out he has prostate and brain cancer. They have been bringing him up to San Antonio for cancer treatments and he has been surprisingly well, but we know he is on borrowed time. However, this past week, in the middle of the night Mortimer had massive bleeding. He was rushed to the vet and it was determined that his spleen had ruptured, probably from a cancer growth. He died while they were trying to prep him for surgery. Both of these circumstances have been heartbreaking for them. They weren't able to have children and their dogs are their kids.

I wanted to make a keepsake card in memory of Morti. I asked my son for a photo and used it to create this card. I cropped the photo in Adobe Photoshop Elements and then added a sentiment. It was printed on glossy photo paper. I cut a black frame using the My Favorite Things Pierced Rectangle Frame Die and cut down the photo to fit behind it. I added foam tape to the frame and adhered it to the photo. The frame and photo were adhered to a landscape dark gray cardbase and the card was done.
