Mini Slimline Spring Bouquet

This is the second card I made with the new Simon Says Stamp Spring Bouquets, with the second image in the stamp set. My roses are just beginning to get their buds and I can't wait until they are in full bloom.

The image was stamped on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock in the MISTI with Simon Says Stamp Fog Ink. I always stamp image in a light ink first when coloring with Copic Markers if I want to emboss the outline. Embossing can be hard on the tips of your markers. Having a MISTI lets you stamp once, color the image with Copics and then stamp again with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss. I used use gold embossing powder.

Once again this isn't the typical mini slimline cardbase. I cut it to fit the image, which turned out to be 6 3/4" x 3 1/2". The base was cut to 6 3/4" x 7" and scored at 3 1/2." The sentiment is from Altenew's Beautiful Day. I love this sentiment from the set. It could go for so many occasions. It was stamped in the lower right and heat embossed gold.

Sticky back foam was added to the back of the floral bouquet to add dimension to a plain and simple card. It was adhered to the card front with liquid blue.

Once again I made my own envelope, which is pretty easy to do.
