I have a sweet friend who is ninety-three years old and comes and works out on the recumbent bicycle five days a week. She is amazing. She is having eye surgery this week and I know she is nervous about it. She won't be able to come and workout for the next month while everything heals. I wanted to send her a thinking of you card and tell her that I'm praying for her. I decided to use this lovely Paper Rose bouquet one more time. This time I decided to heat emboss the image silver.
I first stamped the image with Memento London Fog Ink and colored it with Copics. I left the stamp in the MISTI so I could stamp it again with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss it with Ranger Silver Embossing Powder. The sentiment was stamped and embossed as well.
When the embossing cooled down the image was cut down using a stitched rectangle die. I laid the image on a white cardbase and it was pretty, but I wondered what it would look like with gray. I laid it on a light gray, but when I put it on the Slate Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp the image just popped. Sticky back foam was added to the back of the panel and then adhered to the Slate cardbase with liquid glue.
It was beautiful, but I decided to add a very pale green shadow around the image and it was even more lovely.
