Megan and Jace –Time to Celebrate

I have a dear friend whose youngest daughter is getting married this month. I taught Megan in Young Women's when she was a teenager, and now she is getting married. I asked Mara what she had chosen for her wedding and these are the colors in the picture she sent me. Since I wanted it to be large like a bouquet I made is 5x7" card, something I rarely do, but I liked the way it turned out.

I had Simon Says Stamp's Even More Spring Flowers sitting and my desk and decided to use them for this card. I first stamped them in a light ink and then colored them with Copic Markers. I always do this when I want to heat emboss the images. It protects the nibs of my markers. When coloring was done I stamped them again with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed gold. The images were cut out using the coordinating die.

I had stamped all the images twice so I had plenty of flowers to work with. However, as I was arrangement the bouquet I felt like I needed three of the largest and smallest flowers to balance everything out, so I stamped them again, colored and heat embossed them.

Once I had everything arranged they way I liked them I used Glad Press 'n Seal to keep everything together while I adhered them together to the card front. I decided to cut down a rectangle to 6-1/2" x 4 -1/2" and dry embossed it with a linen 3D embossing folder. I decided to mat it with gold mirror cardstock.

The leaves and small flowers were adhered with liquid glue. I also decided to adhered two of the peach flower with glue as well. The top peach flower and the back orange flower were adhered with one layer of low loft foam tape. I removed the backing paper on the foam and added a little liquid glue to allow a little wiggle room. The two front orange flowers were adhered with two layers of foam tape.

I went through my previously heat embossed sentiments and selected "Time to Celebrate" in white and gold and adhered it with a combination of liquid glue and two layers of foam tape.

The final embellishments was to scatter some iridescent crystal gems around the arrangements
