Hexagon Patterned It’s Your Day

This is another great image from Art Impressions for guy cards. For this guy I like to paper piece the shirt and use that patterned paper as the color combination for the cards. I had the inside piece of blue denim cardstock leftover from the frame on my previous card, so I went looking for some patterned paper with dark blue and a small pattern. This hexagon pattern fit the bill, brining in olive green as a secondary color.
The image as stamped onto Hammermill cardstock and again on some hexagon patterned paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The main image and balloons were colored with Copic Markers and the shirt was paper pieced and glued in place.
The images were fussy cut with scissors and laid on the navy blue panel to determine where to stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss it white. Once that was done the main image and balloons were adhered in place with foam tape.
A panel of the hexagon patterned paper was cut down with a stitched rectangle die and then matted with the navy cardstock for a thin blue border. It was adhered to a top folding cardbase with dotliner adhesive.
Foam tape was added to the back of the focal image panel and it was adhered to the front of the card. The final embellishment was to use a sparkle pen to add shine to the balloons.
