I love making cards and I make a lot of them, but I have more than I can use. I called one of our local assisted living centers and asked them if they could use some birthday cards. They said that would love them, they give cards to each of their residents on their birthday. So I went to work creating some cards for seniors.
This layering card uses the Altenew Remember This stamp set. I decided to stamp the main flower in pinks and the rose buts in yellow. I think it is a pretty combination. Once the stamping was complete the images were cut out using the coordinating dies.
Since these flowers are smaller, for the layout of this card I decided to arrange a cluster of flower around the circle opening in the Avery Elle Horizontal Stripes die. I cut it three time from white cardstock and adhered the layers together with Elmer's Craft Bond Spray Adhesive. The flowers and leaves were then adhered around the lower left of the circle with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.
For the cardbase I decided to use Gina K. Designs Whisper cardstock, which is a muted warm gray. It really add a nice contrast between the white die cut panel and the cardbase. I laid the striped circle panel onto a top folding whisper cardbase to determine where to stamp the sentiment. Once the sentiment was dry the front of the cardbase was dry embossed with Stampin' Up's Subtle 3D Embossing Flower. Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape was added to the back of the flower that overhung the center of the circle opening and the striped panel was adhered to the cardbase with liquid glue.
For embellishments clear sparkle pen was added to the flower and white pearls were scattered around the flowers. Black archival ink was added to made the stamen on the flowers a dark black.
