Michael had asked me if we had a card for a handyman. I told him I had some great dies from Spellbinders that could make the perfect card, along with a great sentiment from Jillian Vance.
I cut the layers of the tools from a combination of silver mirror, kraft, and red cardstocks. For the paint roller I used a little batting I had on hand. Felt would have been better, but I didn't have at the time. Everything was adhered together with liquid glue.
A quarter sheet of Gina K. Designs Kraft cardstock was dry embossed with the Sizzix 3D Lumber Embossing Folder in an landscape orientation. Two colors of brown ink cubes were run across the surface to enhance the woodgrain. The folder was also used on the wooden elements of the tools.
The tools were arranged in a pattern that allowed all of them to be seen. They were adhered in place with foam tape.
The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of red cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed silver. It was adhered below the tools with foam tape as well.
