I have a young friend whose birthday is the coming Saturday. When I asked her what her favorite colors were she said white and green. I pulled out this beautiful rose die from Simon Says Stamp and cut it from white cardstock. Shading was added with light gray Copic Markers. The outline of the rose was cut two more times from white cardstock and once from gold mirror cardstock. The outlines were adhered together with liquid glue and added to the previously colored rose petals.
This die doesn't have any leaves, but I had these lovely leaves from My Favorite Things and cut two of the background leaves from white cardstock and colored them a soft green. The top detailed layer was cut from gold mirror cardstock and the two were adhered together with liquid glue.
Since the flower what white I wanted to add a contrasting background to help it pop on the card, but I still wanted to keep it soft, so I pulled out Gina K. Designs Whisper Cardstock and cut a scalloped rectangle. To add even more visual interest the scalloped rectangle was dry embossed with the Stampin' Up Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, which add a lovely linen look. The scalloped rectangle was adhered to a landscape A2 cardbase with dotliner adhesive.
The leaves were adhered to the scalloped rectangle with liquid glue and the white rose was adhered in place with Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape.
This beautiful hot foil sentiment fit perfectly in the open space to the right of the rose. A secondary hot foiled sentiment banner was adhered above with both liquid glue and foam tape. A few gold sequins were adhered around the flower and the card was done.
