I have been lucky to have a wonderful best friend while living here in Washington. We both love creating cards and we work out together five days a week. We gather together with our husbands once a month for game night. In short, we love and support one another and make life richer. I will miss her more than I can express. It isn't often you find someone that special.
Denice's birthday was on September 3. She doesn't have a favorite color, so I used a variety of different colors for this new image for me from Altenew. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the image. I also cut some sticky back foam to add dimension to the image. The front of a top folding A2 white cardbase was dry embossed with the Stampin' Up Subtle Embossing Folder, Denise's favorite. The image was adhered to the card front with liquid glue.
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock and heat embossed white. It was cut into a banner with the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Label and then I added an angled edge to one side. It was adhered over the flower arrangement with liquid glue, a little foam tape was added to right to add stability where it didn't rest on the floral image.
Ranger Gold Stickles were added to the centers of some of the flowers and Glossy Accents to the berries. This is a large image and I didn't want to cut off the overhang, so I decided to used a 5x7 envelope.
