Happy Birthday Number It Balloons

I really love the way this card turned out. My Favorite Things Number It Background was stamped onto a quarter sheet of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed clear. Ken Oliver Color Burst Watercolor Powder in Turquoise, Sap Green, and Prussian Blue was tapped onto the panel, spritzed heavily with water, and set aside to dry.

The panel was cut down using a stitched rectangle die. I went through my blue card scraps and found some coordinating colors and used the Birch Press Design Party Balloon dies to cut out three balloons. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink onto the largest balloon and heat embossed white. White bakers twine was tied to the bottom of the balloon for strings. The turquoise balloon was adhered directly to the panel with liquid glue. The navy balloon was adhered with Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape, and the small mint balloon was adhered with a combination of glue and foam tape. The strings were wrapped around the bottom of the card and adhered with Scotch tape. Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape was added to the back of the watercolor panel and adhered to a top folding.
