I love making cards and I make a lot of them, but I have more than I can use. I called one of our local assisted living centers and asked them if they could use some birthday cards. They said that would love them, they give cards to each of their residents on their birthday. So I went to work creating some cards for seniors.
This is the second card I made using the Altenew Remember This stamp set. In the first card I had cut the Avery Elle Horizontal Stripes die three times, which left three circle from the center of the die cut. I always try to use my leftovers on other cards. So I went looking for something I could pair the circle with and the Altenew Frilly Frame die was the perfect size. I cut it from white cardstock. The three circles were adhered together with liquid glue and then adhered to the frilly frame by adding a thin bead of liquid glue to center of the frame die.
I made sure one of the scallops was at the top, because it's more pleasing to the eye, and determined where to stamp the sentiment by placing the flowers around the edge of the circle. When it was dry the flowers and leaves were adhered in place with liquid glue.
I decided to use a light gray cardbase for the card and dry embossed the front with the Stampin' Up Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. The focal image frilly frame and flowers were adhered in place with liquid glue. Clear sparkle pen was added to the flowers and white pearls scattered around the card. Black archival ink was added to made the stamen on the flowers a dark black.
