I recently saw on YouTube someone take a large lined stamp and use it as a background on a card front. I stamped onto watercolor cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed the images. The background was then washed with blue and green watercolors. I really like the way it turned out. To add some visual interest the center of the background was cut out using an Ellen Hutson Essential Rectangle Die. I love these dies because they cut the rectangle, but they also cut a thin frame. I used the same die to cut a thin frame from gold mirror cardstock and then inlaid the center of the water colored image into the frame. The sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock, along with a small butterfly.
