I recently purchased some patterned paper from Honey Bee Stamps and decided to make some masculine cards using the color scheme from the paper.
I cut a panel of "happy birthday" patterned paper with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a top folding A2 cardbase with low loft foam tape.
I originally cut the "you take the cake" die from green cardstock, but it was just too blah. So, I cut it from a rainbow of colors twice and then adhered the colorful letters over the green, adding two layers for dimension. The negative panel was held in place on the front of the card with low stick tape and the letters were then adhered in place with liquid glue. Once they were well adhered the negative panel was carefully removed. This ensures that the letters are aligned as intended.
I pulled out CZ Designs Party Palooza Stamp and Die and stamped, colored, and die cut the small cake in the set and adhered it with foam tape in the open space to the left of the word "the."
