This is another foiled card using standard dies. I love this layered cake die from Spellbinders. Each detailed layer was foiled and then cut out using the coordinating dies. I decided to decorate the top of the cake using the flowers and leaves from the Spellbinders Glimmer Diamond Floral Frame. Each piece of the cake was colored with Copic Markers.
The layers of the cake were adhered together with liquid glue. Gold mirror cardstock was used to cut out the cake stand and really complimented the gold foiling on the layers and embellishments. The cake was adhered to the cake stand with liquid glue. A flower and two leaf sprigs were adhered to the top of the cake. Three candles were adhered behind the flower and sprigs with liquid glue. Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape was added to the back of the assembled cake and stand.
A panel of ivory cardstock was foiled using the Spellbinders Glimmer Essential Glimmer Rectangles, which is a pretty dotted frame. It was cut down using an A2 rectangle die and adhered to a top folding cardbase using Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape. The cake and stand were adhered to this panel by removing the backing paper of the foam tape on the back. A cluster of small flowers and leaves was adhered at the base of the stand with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.
The sentiment is from Spellbinders Mini Everyday Sentiments. Once the foiling was complete it was cut into a strip with a Pink & Main Sentiment Strip die and adhered to bottom of the cake stand with liquid glue and foam tape.
