Enjoy—It’s Your Day Jerry

My older brother turns seventy-five on the 11th of this month. He is a year and one-half older than me and has always been such a blessing in my life. He is kind, generous, loving, and the best peacemaker in our family. I love him more than words can say.

Jerry's favorite colors and red and blue and so I wanted to create a birthday card using those colors. He also looks a little like this image, although he always has a great smile on his face.

I cut a panel from navy cardstock and dry embossed it with an argyle folder and adhered it to a t side folding cardbase with liquid glue.

The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. It was then die cut with the coordinating die.

I cut the large "enjoy" four times from red cardstock and adhered the layers together with liquid glue. The image was tucked into the opening of the "o" in the word and glued to the bottom of the letter. Foam tape was added to the back so that it would be the same dimension as the word. The outline of the balloons was cut from red cardstock and again with red glitter cardstock. Both layers were adhered together with liquid glue and then adhered over the beginning of the word. The numbers 75 were cut from blue glitter cardstock, along with some stars for the last balloon. They were adhered in place with iquid glue. Everything was adhered to the embossed panel with liquid glue.

The secondary greeting was stamped on a scrap of navy cardstock and heat embossed white. It was cut down with a sentiment label die and adhered over the last two letters with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.
