I recently purchased the Dreamy Daisy Layers die from Simon Says Stamp in collaboration with Memory Box. These flowers are very easy to assemble and create.
I decided I wanted my daisies to have yellow centers. Yellow is such a bright and happy color. I cut the layers of the daisies from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock. On the background layer I used a small blending brush to add a couple of colors of yellow Distress Oxide inks. I used a small paint brush to curl the edges of the top layer of the flowers and adhered them in place with liquid glue at the center. The center of the flowers were ink blended with Distress Oxide Wild Honey and adhered in place on the flower. I decided to add some sparkle and visual interest and added Nuvo Glitter Drops in Golden Sunset.
The daisy die set does not include any leaves. So I pulled out Simon Says Stamp Etched Laruel Leaves and ink blended them with two colors of green Distress Oxide Ink.
A panel of white cardstock was cut down using a My Favorite Things Wonky Rectangle. It then run through the die cut machine using the Stampin' Up Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. A thin black border was adhered to the back of the rectangle, which was then adhered to a side folding A2 cardbase.
The daisies were adhered to the front of the card in a cascade of flowers from the upper left to the bottom right. The leaves were tucked in around the flowers to add additional visual interest.
The sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of black cardstock with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed white. It was cut down using a Pink & Main Sentiment Strip Die and adhered in place with liquid glue.
The final embellishment was to scatter Studio Katia Iridescent Snow Crystal around the flowers.
