Deepest Sympathy for Dale and Denise

We recently heard that the brother of a good friend of ours had passed away. I wanted to send a sympathy card and knew that Dale's favorite colors was purple. I recently purchased the Simon Says Stamp Divine Peony die and cut it from white cardstock. I used various shades of purple ink to ink blend the flowers and soft mint green for the stems and leaves.

To add visual interest behind this clean and simple card I cut a panel of white cardstock with a stitched rectangle die and embossed it a Spellbinders Embossing Folder of the Month. The panel was matted with gold mirror cardstock and then adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase with dotliner adhesive.

The flowers were adhered in place with liquid glue and foam squares.

The main sentiment was cut from gold mirror cardstock and three times from white cardstock. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue and it was then adhered in place with liquid glue. The secondary greeting was stamped on a scrap of purple blended cardstock with VersaMark Ink,, heat embossed gold, and cut out with a sentiment label die. It was adhered in place with foam squares.

A few gold confetti pieces were scattered around the flowers and the card was done.
