Papertrey Ink's Into the Blooms dies make lovely cards. This one uses the Poppies dies. The layers were cut from a dark red cardstock and then blended with darker red inks to add dimension and depth. The stems and leaves were cut from green cardstock and then blended with darker green inks. The center of the flowers were cut from black cardstock. All the layers were adhered together with liquid glue.
As a background to the poppies a panel of white cardstock was cut down with the Penny Black Swirly Stitched Rectangle Die and the edges were blended with leftover green ink on the blending brush. The panel was matted with black cardstock and then adhered to a top folding cardbase with dotliner adhesive.
Foam squares were added behind the flowers and the leaves were adhered with liquid glue.
The sentiment had been previously hot foiled on black cardstock and was adhered in place with foam tape.
