Color Burst Floral Doodles

I was going through on of my drawers and saw my stash of Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders and decided it was time to pull them out and create some cards. There will be several cards using this medium.

I pulled out some watercolor paper and cut it into quarter sheets. I created a lot of different colors and several green paper for leaves and foliage. I sprayed the powders with Perfect Pearl water, giving them a beautiful shine and shimmer.

This card uses several different colors, along with a brushed gold outline and very easy to put together since it only has the two layers.

An oval of white cardstock was cut using a scalloped rectangle die The flowers and leaves were laid in place to determine where to stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and then heat embossed gold. The flowers and leaves were then adhered in place with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. Foam tape was added to the back of the oval.

The front of an A2 cardbase made from Gina K. Designs Whisper Cardstock is really elegant behind the oval focal image. It was dry embossed with Simon Says Stamp Spun Glass 3D Embossing Folder. The focal image oval was adhered in place by removing the backing paper on the foam tape.
