I was in need of some masculine birthday cards. I decided to pull out the great candle dies from Elizabeth Crafts. They have different designs. I didn't use the one that has flowers, since I was creating a masculine card. I cut the candles from white cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. Ranger Crystal Stickles was added to the flames of the candles.
Once the coloring was complete they were adhered to a quarter sheet of white cardstock with liquid glue in a random pattern. This was used as the backer for a shaker card.
A frame was made using My Favorite Things Pierced Rectangle Frame. Originally Judi Kins Embossable Window Plastic was used for the sentiment, but it didn't turn out well, so Office Depot Acetate was used instead. A sentiment was cut from gold glitter cardstock with KB Riley's Happy Birthday Die and adhered in place with liquid glue. A secondary sentiment was stamped on a strip of cardstock colored with blue Copic Markers, stamped with VersaMark Ink, and heat embossed gold, and also adhered with liquid glue.
Scotch 3M 1/2" Foam Tape was folded to be double thickness and cut down to fit behind the frame. Various seed beads were added to the center of the frame, the paper tape was removed, and the candle collage was laid in place.
The shaker panel was adhered to a top folding A2 cardbase and the card was done.
