This is another card that was made using the Gina K. Designs Whimsical Wildflowers. The stamp has several pretty flower images. These look like gerbera daisies to me and I decided to do them in bright and happy colors. We all need a lift, and what better day than for someone's birthday.
I had just reinked my Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and got some really dark and crisp stamping. I then colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies when I was done.
My style of cardmaking is usually along the clean and simple style, but I do like to have some visual interest behind the images. This time I cut a panel of white cardstock using the Memory Box Matinee Rectangle. I love the corners on this die. It was then run through the Big Shot using the Stampin' Up Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, with adds such a soft texture. The rectangle was adhered to a top folding cardbase with Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape.
I arranged the flowers and leaves the way I liked them. The leaves were adhered with liquid glue and the flowers with foam tape. There was enough room at the bottom to use this big and scripty "happy" from Honey Bee Stamps. I went through my stamps to find a secondary sentiment that would span across the bottom of the die cut word. I colored some white cardstock with the same colors used in the main flower and stamped it in black in. A Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Label was used to cut it out and foam tape was added to the back only in the open spots when it rested on the larger word.
I just may have to get this stamp and die set, I really like it.
