I recently purchased My Favorite Things Happy Occasions Card Kit. I loved the flowers and leave, and it was nice to get some different color paper than what I usually use.
I began by cutting flowers from the pink and blue cardstock and leaves from the two green cardstocks included in the kit. I ink blended a little in the center of the flower and at the end of the leaves. Then smaller flowers were layered onto larger flowers and adhered together with liquid glue. I felt like they needed some additional visual interest and so I added rhinestones into the center of each flower.
I cut a panel of white cardstock using the Avery Elle Horizontal Stripes die. I love the way it gives you a circle opening that is perfect for arranging flowers and leaves around. I laid them out the way I liked them and then picked them up using Glad Press 'n Seal. Liquid glue was added to the back of the leaves and smallest flowers and the Press 'n Seal arrangement was turned over to place the flower into just the right spot. Low Loft Foam tape was added to the back of the largest flower and two layers were added to the medium flowers lying on top. A little liquid glue was added to the foam tape to allow for a little adjustment before permanently adhering them in place.
The striped rectangle was laid on a top folding cardbase to determine where to stamp the sentiment. It was then removed and the sentiment was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink. Liquid glue was added to the back of the horizontal striped panel, which was adhered to the the cardbase and the card was done.
