Blue Metallic Confetti Background Sweet Wishes

I had the panels of mirror cardstock that had been used to create the confetti for my previous card. Since mirror cardstock is expensive they needed to be used. I had the My Favorite Things Happy Cake die sitting on my desk and thought it would look great on the confetti background.

On my previous card using this die I cut the cake from a confetti paper and used the strips for the cake portion of the die. I had the leftover pieces from that card and decided to use them on this card. The Sunny Studio's Surprice Party confetti cardstock was used for the frosting and the ink blended Kraft cardstock for the cake strips. I traced around the die to create a backing for the cake and cut it down just smaller than die with scissors. A candle was cut using the My Favorite Things Cupcakes and Sprinkles Die and adhered behind the cake.

Blue sticky back foam was traced and fussy cut to fit behind the cake and candle, which was then adhered to the top of the confetti background.

The sentiment was cut from red mirror cardstock and from blue sticky back foam. They were adhered together by removing the backing paper on the foam and then adhered below the cake with liquid glue.

The panel was then adhered to a top folding cardbse with dotliner adhesive.
