Blue Gardenia It’s Your Day

I like that you can make any flower the color that you want when creating a card. Most of them are white, some have a light pink in the center, but I decided to make a blue gardenia.

The die has the keyhole system that Altenew has recently developed. It makes it a lot easier to assemble their layered flowers. I still think they have a lot of little pieces that aren't really necessary and so I didn't use most of them.

I ink blended the center of each petal with two colors of blue ink to add dimension and visual interest. The layers were then adhered together with liquid glue. The leaves were also ink blended.

A panel of white cardstock was cut using the Memory Box Matinee Rectangle Die. It was dry embossed with the Stampin' Up 3D Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and adhered to a top folding cardbase with dotliner adhesive. The leaves and the back flower were adhered with liquid glue and the front flower with low loft foam squares.

The sentiment had been previously hot foiled and what adhered with foam squares to bottom right of the card.

Fine Tec Pearlescent Aztec Gold was splattered on the front of the card and then a few gold confetti were scattered around the card.
