Black-Eyed Susan Happy Birthday

I recently purchased Simon Says Stamp's Cosmos Duo Die and decided I wanted it to look more like a black-eyed Susan with the deep brown center.

I cut the flowers from white cardstock and ink blended the centers with a light yellow and the flower centers brown. The stems were ink blended green. The die comes with just two blooms, but I wanted three so I cut off part of the stem and adhered them together, joining them at the bottom. The flowers were adhered in place with liquid glue.

An oval was cutout using the Pink Fresh Studio Braided Oval die. A panel of yellow cardstock was cut 1/4" smaller than an A2 cardbase and adhered in place with dotliner adhesive. The oval was adhered to this panel with foam tape.

Foam squares were added to the center of the flowers to add dimension and then they were adhered to the oval with a combination of liquid glue and foam squares.

Dark Walnut Nuvo Crystal Drops were added to the flower centers and few light yellow sequins were scattered around the flowers.
