I have at son-in-law that loves everything to do with salt water fish. In fact he has a very large tank in his home. Every birthday and Christmas he uses the money we give him to buy more things for his tank. So, of course I used some fish and water for his card.
I saw a card recently where Tina Smith took three large candles and added some cute critters on each. I decided to play off that layout and turned seaweed into candles and added three gold fish to each. I think it turned out cute.
I stamped Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish onto Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White Cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I stamped three strands of seaweed onto a rectangle of white cardstock cut down with an A2 stitched rectangle and then ink blended the background with Altenew inks. I pulled out a die from My Favorite Things It's Your Day to use the flame and cut it from gold glitter cardstock.
I wanted to add some visual interest behind the ink blended background and dry embossed the front of a side folding A2 cardbase with the Stampin' Up Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder. The rectangle was adhered using Simon Says Stamp Big Mama Foam Tape. The goldfish were adhered with the same foam tape.
The sentiment was stamped VersaMark Ink onto a scrap of cardstock that had been ink blended with the darkest blue ink and heat embossed gold. It was cut into a banner with Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Die. It was adhered to the bottom of the card with foam tape and the card was done.
