I had recently purchased the Papertrey Ink Tin Stitched Rectangle Die. I thought it made a frame, but it doesn't, it just creates a rectangle with the a stitched frame around the edges. However, I wanted to create a shake card, so I pulled out my A2 stitched rectangle dies and cut around the outside of the stitched frame and also cut out the inside of the frame. This created the perfect frame for my shaker card. Acetate was added to the back with double-sided tape and it was set aside until the focal image was complete.
I stamped the balloons bouquet with a light gray ink and left the image in the MISTI. Once the Copic coloring was complete it was stamped again with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed gold. The image was cut down to be 1/8" smaller than the frame to make it easier to align it to the back of the frame.
Waffle Flower Foam Strips 1/8" thick were added to the back of the frame. Pink, Purple, and Teal seed beads were added to the well of the frame then the focal image panel was adhered in place by removing the backing paper on the foam strips.
A small sentiment label was stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed gold. It was cut out using a Pink and Main Sentiment Label Die and adhered to the bottom of the shaker opening with dotliner adhesive. I find this is easier to use on acetate since it doesn't move around while waiting to dry.
